Sov'Ran, Pinot Blanc 2022

Sov'Ran is owned by a company called Divergent Drinks, established in 2016 with a mission to create UK based drinks which break the mould. Sov'Ran is the wine-wing of the business and focuses on using UK-grown grapes from some exceptional, but lesser known, vineyards. Pinot Blanc 2022 was taken from the Heartenoak vineyard, nestled in the South Downs. Known for its rich, chalky soil, Heartenoak wines are gorgeously mineral and this Pinot Blanc is no exception. Notes of lemon zest, green apple and wet stone move to a well-rounded, medium-bodied palate with further flavours of blossom and pear. A real hidden gem, and at only 1170 bottles produced, certainly a wine to savour.
